Hmmm, their design is very related to Hermes so you might want to go with something more subtle. That being said I don't think it would be a huge deal. A friend of mine got a tie from them for his birthday and I absolutely love them. I still think $75 for a screen printed tie is outrageous, but it is better than $175 for a Hermes.

You can go to Macey's and find some decent ties for $15-20 bucks. I have a bunch of Nautica ties. Good thickness and they tie real well. Some I trash, others I will keep.

 

With ties, you pretty much can't go wrong.

Many people wear vineyard vines ties, Hermes ties, Ferragamo, etc. As long as you feel comfortable wearing the tie, no one will give you grief for it.
