Nah don’t wear one everyday lol, white button down or simple color button downs (light blue, navy, tan) and slacks… maybe keep a blazer with you in case you have to go to a meeting but that’s about it. No tie either

Depends on the culture of your bank/location.

In the UK/Europe this would be pretty normal - I know some banks where interns still wear ties most of the time.

Turn up in a suit with a tie to put in your drawer day one and just match what the analysts are wearing.

I've met a wide range of banking interns as of 2021 from top BBs to EBs to MMs and I have never met anyone who wears a tie to work LMAO

The only people you see wearing ties in London are people who are very clearly company management or something, usually some old French/German/Italian dude surrounded by two other people (CFO + IR).

I've seen inexperienced interns (and was one myself) who will go for a tie on first day and normally end the day with it off.

Especially after COVID, dress codes have relaxed immensely since even 2-3 years ago.

@OP psuedo dress code is a two-piece suit minus the tie but in summer, trousers and a shirt will do.
