All in the title, I basically have either Oxford shoes or sneakers, looking for a pair of shoes in between. What do you wear when going out to places with stricter dress code, i.e. no sneakers?

Upscale sneakers are often permitted, especially black ones that look much better.
Otherwise I would normally go for comfortable leather shoes, no dress shoes though that look too formal.
lol I went to Le Bernardin in sneakers (think Yeezy Zebra) and hoodie (I was new to the US and not aware of dress codes at restaurants at the time), so I doubt anyone will stop you. With that being said, several brands sell in-betweens (you can check out Berluti's leather sneakers for example).

Personally I usually go with dress shoes although if you’re not trying to dress it up too much could do some nicer sneakers as long as they’re nice and clean
