What to wear on first day of IB FT analyst role (virtual)?

Starting a full-time IB analyst role in a couple weeks (lateralled from another part of the bank). If we were going into the office, I'd obviously go with the suit and tie, but think this may be overkill with everyone still WFH. I played it safe for my Zoom interviews with a suit and tie, but everyone I talked with was pretty casual - quarter-zips, polos, etc. Any thoughts?

Day 1 button-down no tie and pants. Day 2 just conform to what the FT analysts / associates are wearing. My firm is usually either polo, sweater, casual button-down, or even t-shirts if someone is feeling particularly disgruntled though we do not encourage that. Remember to keep looking presentable even if you're getting worked. Some analysts really let loose after getting crushed some nights and joined internal zoom calls in tees or hoodies with bedhead. Don't do this - you wouldn't present yourself that way if you were going into the office.

Lululemon button-down and Express has some great sweatshirt-material blazers. You look professional and you're comfy as shit.
