Get yourself on as many AD lists as possible, you might strike it lucky. If you're not against venturing out you should have a look at AD's in smaller cities/towns too

 

Try Chrono24 or other online retailers. The grey market is your best bet. No one is going to sell you a Sub without prior purchases in NY. The explorer may be an easier find, but likely it’ll be a waste of time trying to get it from an AD. Just go grey and bite the bullet. I have a 114270 that I got for a great price. You’re likely looking for the 124270 which will be more, but still obtainable for many here. A grey market Sub varies widely on year of production and condition. Good luck.

Yeah adding to the above - grey market have it shipped to a jeweler in nyc and check it over. A way better selection and who cares if its used.
