Women’s work shoes

Hi! What do you all wear to work? I'm looking for some comfortable shoes - unfortunately I have wide feet and probably also flat so I have to be rather picky :( I can't really wear pointy-toed or skinny-heeled onesAlso if anyone has tips to break into heels and loafers quickly please share!!

 

is it ok to wear expensive stuff as an intern lol (genuine question for all fashion items) I don’t want to be showy/thought that was frowned upon?

I've actually found decent Tom's loafers- I have a similar problem as you re:wide feet. You can't tell they are Tom's and they are leather and really comfortable and look good with a lot of different styles of pants. 

Like the unadjusted- only with a little bit extra.
 

Can’t seem to find them, any other brand recommendations?

I’ve tried the Sam Edelman loafers — love the way they look but they didn’t feel/look right on my foot (wide foot expanded lol)

 

Similar problem with feet. Look up Calla and vionic shoes online - I was able to find decent designs with great arch support and wide fit. Also recommend going to a podiatrist sooner than later - it's expensive but they can make you custom insoles if your arches are falling too much. Avoid knee problems later
