Activist pitch needed for activist interview?

I know this sounds ridiculous…. But if you’re interviewing for an activist fund is it absolutely necessary you have an activist pitch ready to go in the back pocket. Are longer duration value oriented pitches good enough? It’s not like 100p of the positions are activist campaigns all at once? I feel like a good pitch that illustrates value (under appreciated turnaround in progress, or another one that is temporary overhang) still mostly jives directionally with the way they do things but hey… it I was hiring, I feel like I could be picky and only hire the perfect resume kid with 3 awesome activist pitches so maybe I answered my own question here.

I mean the people who decided to interview me clearly know my background and see that I have zero IB and PE work, and I’m a bit confused that they’d be interested in my profile but hey I’ll take it!

OP here - just had the first round, which was more informational. And yes they confirmed that the number of active campaigns is quite small and is concentrated to 1-3 max at a time. They typically bucket investments into a few categories, so other pitches are definitely appropriate!

Although I do have a good activist pitch I've been working on so at least I'm prepared!
