AI tools to add to process

Alright so I guess me posting a referral link got my prev post deleted so I’ll try this again.

Ive been a bamsec power user since it came out and it’s great for what it is but I get why they’re likely gonna smash it with alphasense. I started using edmundsec and I’m not sure if I’d say it’s full on better but at least has some (basic) AI summaries. Have also used alphasense and its terrible for my coverage because the NLP doesn’t understand that some specific things up are bad and others down are good, but it’s a good research aggregator/search platform.

Been into finchat.io recently though. AI chat gives real answers and takes a little effort but can rip financials/KPIs better than other platforms. There’s a bunch of charting and holding info that I haven’t even got into yet but did some light benchmarking and it was super useful/easy.

Now I’m on the hunt for similar tools - any you guys would recommend? Feels like there's yet to be a good solution to downloading bulk financials (BBG fine enough I guess)

  1. Bamsec:

    • Pros: Great for document search and retrieval.
    • Cons: Might be overshadowed by Alphasense in the future.
  2. Edmundsec:

    • Pros: Offers basic AI summaries which can be helpful for quick insights.
    • Cons: Not necessarily better than Bamsec but provides some additional features.
  3. Alphasense:

    • Pros: Good for research aggregation and search.
    • Cons: NLP might not be suitable for all types of coverage, especially if it misinterprets financial indicators.
  4. Finchat.io:

    • Pros: AI chat provides real answers and can efficiently extract financials/KPIs. Also offers charting and holding information.
    • Cons: Requires some effort to get the best results, but benchmarking shows it to be useful and easy to use.
