Analyst Contribution

So I've been at my fund more than 2 years now and I think I've had a solid impact on not only our P&L, but also the fund dynamic. From sourcing ideas to thinking of new ways to analyze and screen for companies etc.

I'm curious for those who have worked as an analyst for a few years what has been your biggest value add aside from a pure P&L perspective? How were you able to make a difference and what makes you unique?

I ask because I'm curious how other people are doing after a few years relative to my experience and also what it takes, if possible, to make the move to PM.

Thanks.
