Any advice from moving from PE --> HF roles?

Spent last 4 years in PE (MF now LMM), started right out of undergrad.

Looking to move into public equities. Any advice / how to find PMs who are hiring folks without prior HF experience?

Thanks!

Important to find a fund that aligns with your investing preference. Don’t join a MM if that’s not the type of investing you want to do just because they are in vogue. Don’t join a small / start-up SM with expectations that they will scale (unless it’s a unique launch). Don’t think that SMs have a long term perspective as it really depends on the team and PM’s background.
