Asif Suria's Book on Special Sits Investing

Recently started reading this book on special sits investing by Asif Suria, "The Event-Driven Edge in Investing: Six Special Situation Strategies to Outperform the Market". Has anyone read it through and/or have any insights? Seems interesting so far as I'm new to investing but was wondering whether what he's saying is legit and if he's known or respected in the industry.

He's a random guy who studied civil eng in India & compsci at U Oregon, worked in back office IT or for software consulting integrators/resellers his entire career, and has 0 formal investing experience per his own LinkedIn (which you can find in literally 2 seconds with google). He now runs some dinky looking website (that doesn't even have its own LinkedIn) selling a random assortment of analysis tools, newsletters that at first glance look like they were put together by web scrapers instead of an actual professional, and hucking investment "gurus". The cherry on top being that the title of his book sounds like something from the YouTube ad that comes after the one trying to sell dick pills, this could not be a less interesting book.

0/5 stars - author is either just plain ignorant (the furthest thing from being a respectable investor/someone to take seriously) or a straight up scam artist like the guys who try to sell you an online course about how to make money selling online courses. Save your time and money.
