What is a baupost? Is that some sort of a construction product?
Performance isn’t anything to write home about and idk where LPs stand on it today but it’s true value investing and has to be one of the best seats in the industry. Klarman and Abrams would be two of the best places to work IMO if you want to become a well-rounded investor. They do everything from public/private equities to distressed to real estate.
Cash drag is significant - iirc he doesn’t charge clients on it? Maybe I’m wrong.
Do they do distressed anymore? Have not seem their name in any cap stacks I have looked at
