Best Buy to Hedge Fund
Hi,
I work at Best Buy. I help with customer service requests and help clients find the best purchase for their needs. I know this is not a traditional path but I really enjoy investing. I’m a hard worker and willing to put in the time. Just looking for any advice. Is it possible to get a role at a hedge fund.
not sure this is buy side...
Huh?
There are no HF exits from BestBuy. GameStop, on the other hand, has fantastic HF relations.
Probably not
It’s all about networking. Find the company customer list and find someone who works at a HF to ask for a coffee chat. You can showcase all the transferable skills and experiences. I have no doubt they’ll give it to you on the spot. I mean with your experience I think it’s yours to lose.
Is it a target Best Buy?
op here. i believe it is. tier 1 city, target clients (think parents with kids at andover/exeter etc.)
Exit opportunities seem strong then
I heard GameStop was raising a ~4B fund, so I assume they would be hiring
