Pretty hard to break 1-2mm in comp there. The pattern is they keep increasing non compete (3 year NC + TSA is common for people with >5 years of experience at BW) so that once you hit a certain level it is hard to use your market value to increase comp and you end up "stuck" with golden handcuffs (but also have a ~20% chance of being fired each year). 

There is a right tail if you get into the inner circle and can make a lot more (fewer than 20 investors in the entire firm), but in general their tactic is to use non competes and siloing to pay below market.
