Broadly, do Growth Equity Assos get looks from HFs?
Got two options.
UMM PE, or top 10 GE shop.
I’m leaning towards the GE shop as the team look fantastic, but I Want to end up in HF after asso years.
Do I still have a chance if I go to GE instead of PE?
Is there a reason why PE is more favourable than GE for HF, investing style seems pretty similar?
how many GE guys end up in HF seats?
Depends on the HF strategy
L/S, Activist off the top of the dome.
Are there any other strategies that utilise or build on a similar skill set to either GE or PE moreso than the other?
Thanks
Type of HF?
Seen it happen for MM L/S
Thanks for comment, this and activist I’m interested in.
Are there any other strategies that lend themselves to this style of investing?
What is "this" sorry? Growth broadly?
dm me. I made it happen but it took an intermediate step.
You’re Anon
I’ve definitely seen GA Associates go to L/S funds but historically they leaned more towards SM Tiger cub type funds. Can’t imagine you wouldn’t get looks at tech oriented MM pods though
You’ll get looks at both for L/S, UMM P/E probably better for activist
Mind explaining why this is?
