If this person interviewed 4 months ago and got a public name (which I dont think is weird for private funds) and then the public book got blown up by tariffs and they pivoted the business, I don't get the gripe?
IIRC.. they had a job posting up 2-3mo ago so even if this person did interview 4mo ago, tariffs possibly blew up the book last month, how would he have known now (unless the process took 4mo which is ridiculous). OP might be true for all I know but I’m always skeptical of anonymous posts claiming XYZ about a certain fund on here.. almost 90% of these posts usually sound like someone who is sore or probably pissed they didn’t get the offer and want to justify it..
OP story checks out. I was interviewing around the same time. Process started around when OP mentioned and then was a little extended.
