IMC and Citadel have commodity analyst positions posted right now. I applied to both and have a first round coming up. My background is trading at a large commodity processor. Specifically, building/trading algo models and providing analytics to the broader org. Before that I worked on the energy side doing similar things at a trade shop. I have 3 years of experience actually trading so my book is still pretty small.
For those in the industry, and specifically in commodities, how does this background line up with others in the space? What is it like working at these types of places? Any idea what the interview process is typically like?
