Look at the stock prices today...I wonder what you think of this paragraph. I got the name of the book from dickthesellsider's website.
Book was published in 2005, when iPhone was not a thing yet. What I've learned from the authors is that they are not strategic enough to foresee the age of mobile or the rise of Apple.

Innovator's dilemma probably - don't want to cannibalize their existing business. You just see this over and over - Netflix vs. Blockbuster another comes to mind.
Or that Apple got lucky with the iPhone. Hard to say if the author was right or wrong since there's no counterfactual
to be fair, Apple's PC business is not that good of a business (neither is Dells). The mobile business was totally different and a game changer
