It's a hard role to land and even then exits won't be that great. If you are aiming to do front office work like PE or HF down the line, I would say BB is a very easy choice.
after a summer in either a BB IBD role or the corp dev role which one would be better for FT consulting recruiting?
At least for MBB, I imagine both would probably be good enough to get you the interview provided you have a decent GPA, leadership, etc.
Once you have the interview, it's all about your ability to case and answer behaviorals.
