DE Shaw Generalist Internship Questions

I could be totally off base here, but isn't a Goog/FB offer like a no-brainer for SWE?
I'm wondering if I can get to my end goal of a quant position faster. I know SWE internship would be acceptable/respectable for quant next summer, but I was wondering if (1) generalist might be better since Shaw is big name and if (2) I can ask/leverage my offers so the recruiter puts me into consideration for a trader role.
