Do people move often from post-MBA ER to HF?

Hey guys, so I know ER to HF is very common, especially at the undergraduate level and onwards. How about if you get recruiting to an ER shop post-MBA? Is it common for a senior associate at an ER shop to move to a hedge fund after a year or two? And any insights on how this process happens? Is it just through good networking or headhunters?
