Everpoint vs Point72
Hello - just wondering if anyone knows the difference between point72 (formerly SAC) vs Everpoint Asset Management. According to Google, they seem to be all under the same umbrella (Cohen's family office) though there must be some separation between what each of them do. Does anyone know and can elaborate?
when i interviewed at p72, they told me it was basically the same shit in terms of both being fundamental investing positions. i know they told me what the difference was, but i'm totally blanking at the moment, unfortunately...
According to the site it's an L/S equity group. I've seen other funds with separate affiliates, such as CNH, which is the arb group for AQR. If I had to guess Point72 would have a wider net of assets/strategies while Everpoint specifically does L/S equity.
Everpoint is effectively just the NYC branch of P72. As far as I've heard, that's the only real difference.
