I love Petition and Quant Galore but am looking for something more vanilla. Doesn’t have to be a Substack at all — just looking for a decent source of contemporary business case studies. Something like the Business Breakdowns podcast but in text and a bit more in-depth.

I guess are you looking for 'case studies' like company / stock histories that have been home runs or like deep dives on current stock setups that might be actionable investments?
If it's the former I don't know of any substacks but Lessons from the Titans is a great book that goes through a bunch of industrial case studies through the lens of long-time analysts who covered the names. Non-exhaustive list of names covered but I remember sections on TDG, DHR, GE, and CAT.
On the latter, I think some like scuttleblurb and the science of hitting do deeper dives, but both of those are paid subs so I can't necessarily speak to the quality of their work.
