I am the PM of a hedge fund with 5.4k aum.

You are not a "PM of a HF". You are running a personal account and a VERY small one at that. Do not put that on your resume as anything other than an interest/side hobby you do with your friends. You will get laughed out of interviews IF you even get to have them trying to pass that off as experience.

If you take advice from someone who doesn’t work at a hedge fund, that’s on you sadly

Unfortunate to see the bait work

Your very first comment on the forum is to cry about a username. I feel honored. Seethe 😂

Yeah honestly I swear he’s botting upvotes. What kind of meta level thinking is leading people to upvote falling for the bait

Definitely don’t say PM or “owner of hedge fund”. If I saw an intern hopeful write that I’d laugh at them behind closed doors.

If you have a winning record I’d put together stats on your picks - sharpe, returns, capacity and put it down as a hobby book that you’re working on to explore your interests more. In interviews I’d definitely be interested to hear more.

If you’re a lateral, I wouldn’t consider your PA unless you’re big enough to not even need the job

if you get margin called, just don't pick up
