Help needed: What is the best platform for Market neutral paper trade?

Hi, I'm a 3rd year analyst and i'm trying to maintain a market neutral paper portfolio for myself to track my ideas and slowly get ready for a PM seat in the future. What is the best plaform to do this? I currently use excel, but want something that simulates the market and will give more honest returns. With excel fo example, if you a stock is up 30% pre market and you add it to your portfolio, you will get all the benefit of that move which isn't an accurate reflection of reality, so you can end up with a distorted view of your own "Genius".

Curious to hear how others keep their tracker and keep it honest.

IB, ThinkorSwim, both have solid paper trading accounts.
