HF Interview Feedback
Why, after devoting so much time to HF interview processes, does business development rarely give feedback to candidates? Kinda crazy how you can devote weeks of your time while also working another demanding job and not get any feedback after doing multiple rounds and week long case studies, thanks BD.
No feedback is the standard. Get used to it, unfortunately.
Yeah ive been in probably 50+ interviews in my career across IB, Corporate, PE, HF…never got direct feedback on a rejection in any of them usually no response, sometimes they will tell you they moved on and sometime give very general feedback.
if you think about it, very little upside for them to tell you anything. Could potentially have some legal liability and in general they are done with you and will not be working with you so why care.
I really dont understand when they ghost you in a late stage process though, have had many late round interviews where they ghosted me after I took multiple days off work, did case studies, etc and they didn’t even reply to tell me no. Best explaination I can come up with is the team defers to HR to tell you no then they drop the ball because, well theyre HR..
