Hildene?

Anyone familiar with Hildene’s performance and culture? They grew rapidly to 18bn Aum after coming out of marathon in 2008 (actually the two seem to be the same size now). How does their Dec 2025 investment from Jefferies work? How does their insurance vehicle work? Why were they able to grow AUM so rapidly? Thanks
