How long is non-compete if you join a PM team at a MM fund?
As the headline says, I am curious how long the non-compete can be when you join a quant PM team that is funded by a multi-manager platform (Schonfeld, Point72, Millenium ...).
i'm speaking for equities at two of the multi managers, one of which you named: i've seen a 1 month long and a 4 month long. that's for an analyst, think for PMs usually it's a year.
For fundamental investing it's 3-12 months. Wouldn't be surprised if it's longer for quant.
