How much travel necessary in SM and MM HFs?
Hello, I have limited experience as to the average amounts of travel at SM and MM HFs, only have info on a few places including the shop that I work at, I do however, feel that they are outliars. If someone could please elucidate as to how much travel trade-side HFers travel at different levels I would be immensely grateful.
I understand that it's super PM and fund stage dependent, but any ballparks would still be valuable :)

I go to ~3 conferences a year and travel maybe 2x outside of that to visit the rest of the global team (1x Asia, 1x Europe). So one trip every two months or so, most 2-3 days except Asia which is usually a week.

Most in macro travel less (save for internal team trips across offices). And yes, at MM firm.
