How often do you get chewed out?

How often do you get screamed/yelled at by your PM or senior analyst? I assume if you mess up (eg stock down 10% on earnings) I assume you get yelled at, but what about smaller things like missing a move in a stock (eg someone cuts guidance is -20% and you did not catch it), or pitching a stock a wrong way (your boss thinks macro is worsening and you pitched an advertising or consumer stock)?

IMO this should never happen. Obviously it's a tough business and there can be testy interactions but should never escalate to yelling. You're trying to get things right >50% of the time, which conversely means you're going to be wrong or miss things close to 50% of the time. So if you're getting yelled at every time you're wrong, you're going to be yelled at all the time. Not good for your decision making (less inclined to take risk) or mental health.
