How to break into hf

Just wanted to get on this forum, rising sophomore at a school usually known more for being a strong target for IB/PE than HF

What's the best/most routine way to break into hedge funds (MM, Big 4, SM) is it to go into banking and lateral into a HF?

Thanks 🙏
