How to learn the lingo?

I'm a student who wants to eventually work for a hedge fund. I keep running into HF specific terms that I'm not familiar with. I'm talking things like notional value and market value, relationships between long market value and short market value, etc. I imagine these are pretty basic ideas I should understand if I want to move to a HF. Does anyone know of any entry level resources to learn the basic concepts of managing a portfolio?
