How does IR stack up in terms of salary when compared to the deal team? I just heard about an ungodly salary for an IR position requiring 5 years of experience (almost 7 figures), is this common? I am considering going back to school for my MBA but if the WLB in IR is better and the salaries are competitive I dont see the point in busting my ass.
