King's College London - Target for Unemployment

Did a STEM MSc at the above mentioned Uni. Had offers for others in London but went with this because it was cheaper (12k vs 40k).

Impossible to get a job at the moment even with couple yrs prior experience. No replies from anywhere, recruiters telling me to reconsider career path.

Anyone else with similar experiences from KCL or have any tips?

KCL UG here. Kings is a decent IB semi target at UG level but it’s a non target at PG for the finance sector despite having a strong pipeline into academia.

Why did you go for a postgrad degree at KCL if you already worked in the field? Can't see how that would help unless you were trying to acquire a particular skillset. That aside, one option always remains, which is to send pitches directly to funds or PMs. If your work is good, eventually someone should bite. If your work isn't good, make it good enough. Loads of resources online to guide you and I'm sure you're intelligent enough to work through them. Not sure what strategy you're running but stuff like Spruce Point's short reports can be really great for grasping what great research looks like, regardless of whether you agree or disagree with the conclusion or direction of the report.
