Lack of info on this sub and on this topic more generally - how liquid is L/S equity career investing after a couple of years? Is it the exit?
Going to potentially get an offer from one of these shops but I don't have 100% conviction if this is what I want to do forever. Considering where I could head in a couple of years if it doesn't end up being what I thought it would be. Here's how I see it:
- Seems like you can always go to another pod shop if you're good
- Corp finance at one of the companies you cover (any insight on pay here?)
- Long-only funds (could be tough)
- Equity research
- Can you exit to an asset mgr or pension fund?
