Going to potentially get an offer from one of these shops but I don't have 100% conviction if this is what I want to do forever. Considering where I could head in a couple of years if it doesn't end up being what I thought it would be. Here's how I see it: Seems like you can always go to another pod shop if you're good Corp finance at one of the companies you cover (any insight on pay here?) Long-only funds (could be tough) Equity research Can you exit to an asset mgr or pension fund?

Exits ive seen from MM HFs: 1) Other MM HFs 2) Low Net SM HFs (Candlestick/Woodline/Etc.) 3) Corporate Finance (IR, FP&A) 4) Low to Mid Tier LOs 5) Startups On your question on comp for Corporate Finance, its much lower. If you have 5 years of experience youre likely looking at Manager ($120-150k), 10 years of experience would be Director ($200-$250k) or 15-20 years VP ($300-500k).
