Long / short equity exit opps from Point72 / Citadel etc. particularly if trying to exit to Canada finance? I know the long/short space is limited there but is that skillset really applicable outside of corp finance etc.
Why the interest in Canada? I’m based in and from Toronto - can tell you basically anyone will give you a serious look with those names on your resume. It’s just that your options - even across asset classes - are limited.
Personal reasons more than anything (not a fan of the city or market there in any way). It's good that people would take the brand name seriously but how would that long/short equity research skillset transfer over? What are some opportunities that would be available and easy to attain?
Waratah and Polar are probably your best bets. In order of preference, Polar > Waratah but both are amazing funds.
