L/S equities to fixed income HFs help

Been doing equities for a few years now at a MM (think Citadel, Millenium, etc), and have the opportunity to join a FI HF ($10bn+ w/ ~50 IPs). Realized I don’t quite like the equities sphere that much, mainly because 1) seems like there are a million things that make a stock go up or down that you can’t know but can still drive you crazy, 2) FI seems more stable, whether in terms of returns or comp. Can anyone add comments on this transition? Curious if these sentiments are true, and also wanted to ask how comp would vary between the two given my situation.
