MM Case Study

Hi all, I have a 4 hour case study in person next week. For those who have had these types of cases in the past, should I expect that it will be on a Company in the sector I’m interviewing for? For additional context, the debrief after is with the PM

They will hand you a stack of 10k/qs and earnings releases and transcripts, maybe a comp table, and a locked computer with only excel and no internet, and ask you to come up with a view on the stock. You will have to process the material and build a model and take a stance. Have heard that it can be any company and not necessarily within the coverage universe you are interviewing for. There are a few threads on this on WSO already. Meant to be pretty intensive, and have heard varying strategies regarding how thorough the model should be (full 3 statement vs. "3 statement light" w/most focus on income statement) - best of luck
