No exp with Hunter. Are they a subsidiary? You have to be careful because recruitment firms sometimes operate using different names in different countries. I would generally avoid any place that advertises comp numbers like '400k+'

One good test is to dig a bit deeper when they call on what fund clients they have and whether they know specific groups/PMs there.

A couple of red flags is if they call you randomly without making an appointment, multiple agents call you, they start asking about your fund's performance and whether you have any strategies.

What type of roles are you looking for and is this for US or UK?

I can confirm that these people are a joke. The recruiter asked rather stupid questions and didn't have answers nor a job spec. Both clearly the hallmarks of an inexperienced recruiter - something you wouldn't expect from someone tasked with filling a 300K+ a year role. I suspect that they use CV's as a prospecting list or they try to pry the door open with a client they have no relationship with using your CV as a lure. I'd avoid.
