Partly qualified actuary and would like to move to a HF.

I work as a software developer & a modelling analyst (split role) for a pensions consultant. This is my first job out of university. I am a partly qualified actuary but would prefer to put the extra effort towards a more challenging role instead of pursuing the actuary title.

About 1.5y working here and would like to move to a more competitive environment which is still associated with markets and investments. Just curious how I could transition to a HF and what kind of roles should I be looking for. Aware the hours are a lot different and worse than a 9-5. I appreciate it can be very difficult/nigh impossible but still believe there is a scenario where it can be done.
