Partners at Coatue
I've seen some people hit partner at Coatue 6-8 years out of college. What would even be the career trajectory that allows you to do something like that? Is it a couple years of completely outsized returns as an analyst? It seems like a substantial amount of responsibility and risk to entrust to someone with only 6 YOE. Any thoughts?
It’s just a title admired by VCs. Means absolutely nothing.

The reason they did it is so founders will take them seriously when fundraising.

The real partners are the General Partners (and above them the MDs), Partner is just a title they give to Principal/Director-level employees so founders will take them seriously.
