People who moved from PE to HF - how did you find it?

1) what was the learning curve like?

2) do you prefer HF? what are the pros and cons?

Been at a MM PE for 2 years and honestly there are some things i really dislike (namely process shite, being pedantic over silly details, the people, bosses having no respect for time). Really keen to make a move but still would like to be an investor, I am not strong on my technicals as I am not from an IB background but feel i can learn this and also compensate through investor mindset. However, trying to gauge whether I'm suffering from a case of "the grass is greener on the other side"...

Also, what are hours like? I would prefer working intensely for set periods of time and then having my evenings free. At the moment, I have no visibility of my hours and it is a case of being in office the whole day pissing about and then my boss sends me smth at 7pm (though generally hours aren't that bad when not on a deal).

Thanks!
