Pod Shop Interview Prep
Hello! I’m currently a 2nd year MM PE associate looking to transition to the public side. I’ve been struggling to prepare, particularly because it’s hard to find examples of what “good” looks like for a pitch at the various pod shops. Can anyone recommend me some resources? Thanks!
Interested as well - unsure what makes a good pitch at pod shops vs single manager shops with longer holds
from my understanding - more about timing (shorter term obviously) and finding the right indicators that can feed into your model and you illustrate an advantaged risk/reward set up into your catalyst event (9/10 times the catalyst is earnings) - can often just be looking for 10-15% move. Other longer term SM shops, the catalyst can be a bit softer and longer term, and you are playing for a bigger move in the stock usually.
