Pod Shops Culture
I’ve heard various opinions about the different cultures between the big four pod shops. Obviously, a lot of it is team dependent, however, I’m curious as to how everyone views their respective cultures? How would you rank them?
Culture follows primacy of PM/team.
Firm-wide culture is pretty non-existent at MLP. Very siloed.
P72 occasionally do events/trips, have analysts pitching to the firm, have some level of intra-firm comms (necessary given the integrated nature of the Academy, MI/Canvas and IPD) but most people still just keep to themselves. Headphones in vibe.
Citadel is a mix between P72 and MLP, some offices do have juniors (assocs) doing pitches etc but still quite siloed.
Don't know about the T2/T3 shops.
do you have any color on the general level of collaboration between teams at P/C?
As far as I have seen, MMs generally don't have culture.
But I've also heard that there can be some level of collaboration at Citadel. Given the bar is so low, I guess we could call that a "culture".
