Point72 Academy, background desired and career outlook?
After graduating, I would like to do the Point72 Academy. However, I am unsure as to what they’re looking for in applicants and what career opportunities it would open.
It opens career opportunities at Point72. After Point72, you will have career opportunities at Citadel, Millennium, Balayasny, generic hedge fund 1, generic hedge fund 2, etc and Point72.
There is no set mould, be smart and curious
What do they value in terms of applicants? Obviously coding/math skills but anything out of the box that would be helpful going into the interviews?
Definitely not coding or maths skills
Learn to think out loud and have a solid understanding of basic business theory and macroeconomic principles. I did the internship a few years ago, and outside of that, it's really up in the air...I didn't have a finacne background but they liked the way I thinked things through so they gave me a shot
