How to List Coverage Experience in Credit Research
I’ve got 3 YOE in credit research (1 year @ LO AM -> 2 years @ SM HF) and am starting to explore the lateral market but am not sure how to list my coverage experience appropriately as I update my resume.
In banking I know the standard practice is to leave out the company name of the deal you worked on but was wondering if the same applied to public markets roles.
The approach I’m currently using is naming the most important investments by name I made at my LO job since 2 years have passed and being more broad with investments that have been made with my current firm. Thought process is that enough time has passed from the AM that I no longer need to obscure the details of what I was working on and no longer have intimate knowledge of what they own.
Is this the correct approach to take?
For reference these are how I’d list working on the Twitter LBO on my resume currently:
LO AM Job:
Twitter LBO Takeout
SM HF:
LBO Takeout of $44B of Social Media Company
I know this one is an obvious example but would appreciate any feedback anyone is willing to offer.
