Does anyone know anything about these guys? I was contacted about their Investment Analyst position and was told that they are "multi-strategy firm with assets in capital markets, private equity, alternative financing, real estate, and more, no specific team (special situations desk)"

Bit of an eclectic shop, look up Geoffrey Raynor. Talked to them many many years ago and it was a really inefficient and odd interview process. Many rounds with the recruiter, case study and quizzes before even getting to talk to anyone on the investment side - all for an experience hire process.
