I hear very good things. Dan Gold is supposed to be a very bright guy. I am not sure if they have broken through their water mark from the losses in 2008, though.
I have seen them work in transacitons before, and i would say the investment style if very thematic and aggressive. I would say at times they have made some surprisingly unwise decisions in the biotech space for sure. They also did an investment in this total scam company called TZ Limited in Australia. Read up on it. It was extremely speculative.
I hear it is a very good shop, but beware of chunky speculative investments due to adherence to a particular view. people lose a lot of money that way.
