Radix trading

A recruiting agency reached out to me regarding a business data analyst role at radix trading.

Any idea how the firm is? Interview process ? Expectations and salary ? When I inquired more they told me the role is for quant strategy team. What would growth be like in this role ?

have some buddies over in the quant world (Citadel, JSC, Tower, etc.)

not sure about your role in particular, but Radix generally is very well respected (considered especially top-tier in futures strategies)

have also heard they pay a lot

They're one of the best systematic prop firms. Would be valid to take them over GQS, HRT, etc.

Thank you so much both for your insights. I have consulting background but have always been interested in buy side firms.

I do not have the hardcore tech background though I come from computer engineering degree. They mentioned python as a absolutely must, I have sent my resume to be presented through the 3rd party recruiter.

Knowing this background info how would you suggest I go actively looking for opportunities at buy side firms? Does networking help? Does my background in consulting which is fast paced help? What do I need to do to build a profile that suits them.

Recently interviewed there for a quant technologist internship role. Interview was brutal as they get for that, pure C++, but the prospective pay looked incredible

Quant prop firm, run by Benjamin Blander (ex Citadel Securities).

They pay discretionarily but are generally very good / on the higher side of what I've seen. Uniquely, you get paid quarterly which some love; especially given the regular feedback on your performance.

Culture-wise, collaborative, and I've never heard anybody complain about the learning curve there.

If I had to provide you a range, I would say most quant researchers start on ~$300k TC.
