Resume Check - commodities analyst

Hi there,

I’m looking for feedback on my CV and would really appreciate any advice or insights you might have.

A bit of background info: I currently work as an analyst at a physical shop, where I started as a 'generalist' for the physical traders and board members of our parent company (retail) but have - over the past two years - been focusing more on providing trade recommendations to our paper traders.

My goal is to transition to a larger trading company (e.g., Gunvor, Trafigura, etc.) or a hedge fund, whether small or large—whichever aligns with my skills and experience.

Thanks so much!

Do NOT do this whole left/right split format, everything should be in one ‘column’ top to bottom.

All contact details at the top, education and skills each get their own section. Putting education at top/bottom is your call, I’d err on the side of at the bottom. Skills usually at bottom but if they’re especially relevant to your role you can consider putting them at the top.

Use a more professional font. It’s a nitpick but take yourself seriously, or others won’t.

Also you definitely need more measurables of your impacts, I’m really not seeing any numbers at all here. People need evidence for your impact, not just words
